because it’s embarrassing to not have your legs shaved, to have a roll of fat at the top of your shorts, to be anything less than effortlessly - and simultaneously - hyperaware of your own appearance
why is it embarrassing? because it shows you’re not in control
but what if i spent my time doing homework late into the night instead of taking a shower spent my time reading a novel instead of waxing my eyebrows
this is not a new idea but it feels fresh to me
